Terms of Use & Medical Disclaimer

Effective Date: September 16, 2026

These Terms of Use and Medical Disclaimer govern your use of www.nexxusclinic.com and the online services, educational materials, forms, links, and resources provided by Nexxus Pathway to Recovery Center, LLC (“Nexxus,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue your use of the website.

WEBSITE INFORMATION

Information provided on this website is intended for general educational and informational purposes. It is not a substitute for an individualized evaluation, diagnosis, treatment plan, or advice from a qualified healthcare professional who is familiar with your medical history.

Information on this website should not be used to diagnose or treat a health condition, change a medication, delay medical care, or disregard advice from your healthcare professional.

NO PATIENT-PROVIDER RELATIONSHIP

Viewing this website, downloading a resource, joining our email list, submitting a general contact form, or communicating through social media does not establish a patient-provider relationship with Nexxus or Sherria Lawhorn, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC.

A patient-provider relationship is established only after appropriate registration, consent, eligibility verification, completion of required documentation, and acceptance for clinical services.

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

This website, regular email, social media, and general contact forms are not monitored for emergencies.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use this website, email, an online form, or the patient portal for an emergency.

TELEHEALTH SERVICES

Telehealth services are available only to eligible patients who are physically located in a jurisdiction where the treating provider is licensed or otherwise authorized to practice at the time of the appointment.

Patients must provide accurate information about their identity, current physical location, health history, medications, symptoms, and relevant medical conditions.

Telehealth may not be appropriate for every symptom or condition. Nexxus may recommend an in-person examination, laboratory testing, urgent-care evaluation, emergency care, specialist consultation, or another level of care when clinically appropriate.

Telehealth technology may occasionally experience interruptions, delays, or technical failures. Patients are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, and reasonably private location for their appointment.

NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS

Healthcare outcomes differ among individuals. Nexxus does not promise or guarantee a particular diagnosis, treatment outcome, weight change, symptom improvement, medication response, or other clinical result.

Educational statements and patient experiences should not be interpreted as guarantees that another person will receive the same outcome.

MEDICATIONS AND PRESCRIPTIONS

Prescriptions are issued only when a licensed provider determines that a medication is medically appropriate following an appropriate evaluation.

Submitting an appointment request does not guarantee that a medication, refill, laboratory order, referral, medical document, or particular treatment will be provided.

Nexxus does not prescribe controlled substances. Patients seeking controlled medications should contact an appropriate local healthcare professional.

Patients should not stop, start, increase, decrease, or otherwise change a medication based solely on information presented on this website.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Nexxus currently provides services on a self-pay basis. Patients are responsible for charges disclosed during scheduling, registration, or the informed-consent process.

At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late-cancellation or missed-appointment consequences may apply as disclosed during booking or registration.

A Good Faith Estimate may be available to eligible uninsured or self-pay patients as required by applicable law.

PATIENT PORTAL AND ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

Current patients should use the secure patient portal for nonurgent communications involving their healthcare.

Regular email, website contact forms, social-media messages, and email-marketing forms should not be used to send detailed medical information or request urgent medical assistance.

Electronic communication may be delayed, interrupted, misdirected, or accessed by an unauthorized person despite reasonable safeguards. Please use the secure patient portal whenever communicating about your healthcare.
